Literacy Picnic

Friday, March 27th  

11:00am - 12:15pm 

 

Children ages 2 ½ to age 6 are invited to a literacy picnic with their favorite plushie i.e. stuffed animal. Literacy activities will be inside. Weather permitting, we will picnic outside on the veranda. 
We will do a variety of literacy-based activities that will help  lay a foundation of pre-reading skills. 
We will try:
rhyming
sequencing
letter recognition
name recognition
 and have a little picnic (apples, carrots, cheese & crackers and juice) afterwords.

Climate Change and International Law

Daniel Bodansky, ASU Lincoln Professor of Law, Ethics and Sustainability, a preeminent authority on global climate change, will discuss climate change and international law. He has worked extensively on the international climate change negotiations, as U.S. Dept. of State senior negotiator, consultant to the UN and the Pew Center on Global Climate Change. He co-edited the Oxford Handbook of International Environmental Law, and authored The Art and Craft of International Environmental Law.
