How long have you worked at Desert Foothills Library?
I have worked at the Desert Foothills Library for 3 years. 

What do you like best about the library?
I love the community spirit found here, as well as being surrounded by fellow book lovers. 

 

What is something that may surprise people who visit the library?
We are a dog-friendly space and even offer treats for our furry friends.
When did you first become interested in books and reading? Tell us the story.
Books and reading have always been a big part of my life. My mom started reading stories to my sister and me and visiting our local library with us when we were babies, so I don’t recall a time when I wasn’t immersed in books. Reading is my favorite thing to do when I have free time and I have never read more than since I started working at the library! 


What is a recent book you’ve read that you’d recommend and why?
I just finished The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, and it was excellent. It follows the lives of two sisters living in France during WWII as they endure the hardships of war. It is a heart-wrenching story, but I found the strength and resilience of the characters to be truly inspiring.
