You have been in the Cave Creek/Carefree community for years. Share a bit more about your involvement in the community and why you live here.

I have lived in the Cave Creek/Carefree community for 17 years and have been working within our community for more than 10 years. I truly love this area and everything it has to offer. One of the things I appreciate most is how committed people are to supporting local businesses, organizations, and one another. There is a strong sense of community here that makes it a wonderful place to live and work. Being able to work within our community has truly been a blessing as I have not only made great connections but great friends!

How long have you been working at the Library?

I have been working at the Library for nearly five months.

What do you like about working here?

The people are my favorite part of working at the Library. That includes not only the staff and volunteers, but also our patrons. People are always happy and excited to be here, and that positive energy makes it a great place to work.

What is something you think might surprise the community about the Library?

I think people would be surprised to learn that we offer more than 100 programs each month for all ages. Whether you’re looking to learn a new skill, meet new people, or simply try something different, there’s always something for everyone at the Library.

Is there a program or genre of books found at the Library that you would like to mention?

One program I especially like is the Intergenerational Book Club. It brings together readers from different age groups, which sparks meaningful conversations as well as some very unique perspectives. I think it is a wonderful program and a great way for elders not only to volunteer but to connect with our youth.
