Chapter 2 Bookstore Volunteer Duties

DUTIES:
• General knowledge of books and other bookstore materials
• Shelve books in alphabetical order or by subject
• Price books according to pricing guideline
• Sort donations
• Be able to determine what are acceptable and unacceptable
donations
• Greet Customers and assist them, when needed
• Use of cash register
• Able to lift boxes of books or other donated materials
• Attend mandatory training meetings
• Help in maintaining the work areas clean
• To remain a volunteer, you must volunteer within the
calendar year
• Communicate with other volunteers when you are absent
from your shift or other bookstore duties
